Brea is a city located in northern Orange County, California.

Brea is located in the foothills of northern Orange County, California, about 33 miles southeast of Los Angeles. Brea, Spanish for “natural asphalt” or “tar,” began as a center for crude oil production. The city now has an extensive public art program, with over 140 artworks located around the city.
